Asiyah holds a B.A. and M.F.A. in Dance from Texas Woman’s University and has spent her career working with youth across Dallas through local nonprofits, summer camps, and after-school programs. She is passionate about fostering creativity as a tool for healing, self-expression, and resilience. With a heart for underprivileged youth, Asiyah is committed to being a consistent presence in the lives of her mentees and their families offering encouragement, advocacy, and unconditional support.
In addition to her work as a professional mentor, Asiyah is a poet, speaker, and advocate for substance-abuse recovery and prevention. She is dedicated to destigmatizing the topic within communities of color and empowering young people with self-awareness, healthy coping strategies, and creative outlets.
