Shiquan Freeney is a proud Dallas–Fort Worth native with a deep-rooted commitment to youth and community development. With over eight years of experience supporting young people and families, he has played a direct role in designing and leading high-impact youth programs that foster growth, stability, and long-term success.
Throughout his career, Shiquan has worked across community-based organizations, municipal programs, and youth development initiatives, helping to expand access to mentorship, education, and supportive services for children and families. His work has contributed to successful, sustainable programming that prioritizes consistency, relationship-building, and measurable outcomes—values that closely align with the mission of Friends of the Children.
Shiquan is especially passionate about serving youth in a personal and intentional way, believing that strong, trusted relationships are the foundation for positive change. He is motivated by the opportunity to walk alongside young people, support their goals, and help them recognize their own potential, regardless of the challenges they face.
