Staff: Dezirae Grant

Dezirae Grant is a dedicated youth mentor, educator, and community advocate with a deep passion for helping young people grow into confident and resilient adults. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she found a home in Dallas, Texas, where she began her professional career in education with Dallas ISD and continued her work supporting youth and families beyond the classroom.

Throughout her career, Dezirae has been actively involved in initiatives that support personal growth, emotional wellness, and confidence-building for youth facing the greatest obstacles. Her work has included mentoring, facilitating workshops, and helping create safe, supportive spaces where young people are empowered to grow.

As a mother of two, Dezirae brings both professional experience and personal understanding to her work. Her personal mission is to change how the world views and supports young people and she is honored to serve the youth and families of such an amazing organization, like Friends of the Children-Dallas.
