Giving That Meets the Moment
North Texas Giving Day is now open
Every fall, North Texas sets aside a day to give. Neighbors, businesses, and lifelong donors all point their generosity at the same moment, and thousands of local nonprofits take part. It's one of the largest community giving events in the country, and it's built entirely around this region.
We're part of it this year, and we're asking you to join us.
Life doesn't wait for a good time. Something comes up in a family's week with no room to plan around it. In those moments, our Friends don't need to be called in or brought up to speed. They're already there.
That's what happened this summer, when a mother in our program went into the hospital. Her daughter's Friend, Dezirae, stepped in.
"I appreciate that Dezirae took Mya out so she wouldn't be alone. During this time, you guys helped us with food as well and stayed in close contact checking up on us after I was back home and recovering." — Mya's mom
Dezirae could move that quickly because she already knew the family. That's what showing up week after week makes possible.
Your gift is what gives them that flexibility. It turns a Friend's steady presence into something a family can lean on exactly when they need it.
Our goal is $10,000. Giving is open now and runs through September 17.
